Electronic
Reporting Regulatory authorities are anxious to promote electronic reporting. SPRiNG enables users to transmit data electronically using any format acceptable to the receiving regulatory authority. Bank of England Forms may be transmitted using the Bank of England's dedicated BEERS format by email. These files are zipped and heavily encrypted. The Bank issues email receipts when forms have been transmitted to it. Financial Services Authority Until July 2008, most of the FSA forms will be sent via the Bank of England using the above method. A handful of new Data Items (Forms) will be transmitted over the internet via the Early Reporting System. SPRiNG will populate the ERS spreadsheets for you. From July 2008, the FSA will have their own electronic submission method over the internet, called GABRIEL (GAthering Better Regulatory Information ELectronically). Data Items can be transmitted in encrypted format from SPRiNG at the touch of a button. British Bankers' Association Forms may also be transmitted to the BBA via email using the BEERS format. Central Bank of Ireland Forms may
be transmitted by disk to the Central Bank of Ireland using its dedicated
electronic format. |
